WORKS/ San Jose is holding its 1st Annual “Out of State” Bachelor of Fine Arts exhibition this weekend. The show acknowledges the culmination of four years of comprehensive study by students in the undergraduate Pictorial Art program at San Jose State University. The exhibition features painting, drawing, printmaking, and mixed media, and includes works by: Ginger Burrell, Matthew Campbell, Jose Estrada, Gloria Gardner, Onna Hui, Minal Jeswani, Jeremiah Kille, Colin King-Bailey, Gabriela Lujan, Craig Anthony Mele, William Muir, Kristin Shinoda, Kate Stewart and Sebastian Vido
The show opens with a reception on May 28, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. at WORKS/San Jose and will be on view through June 12.
The Board of Works would like to thank the artists who generously donated their work, the bidders who laid claim to new artwork, and all the volunteers that made Saturday a terrific event! Greetings! There is a lot of excitement in the gallery as we prepare for our benefit auction on Saturday night. Yes, this Saturday night, May 22nd! The final preview will be from 5-7, the mad bidding for fresh, hot art begins at 7 p.m. Why not arrive before 7 to find a parking place and get your bidder number and enjoy a final tour around the gallery before the competition heats up?
We’re working to get everything ready, which includes our complete online gallery, so in the meanwhile, enjoy a virtual visit with two very compelling Bay Area Artists, Tim Tsun and Lydia Rae Black!
