FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Our Next gallery show and events that follow are part of an exciting show entitled Body Commodities/Queer Packaging". A visual arts exhibition that will investigate the current phenomenon of sexualized identity and its visibility in a media-saturated America, whether that identity is referred to as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, or queer. The exhibition is national in scope, featuring 43 artists selected from throughout the United States by 5 regional curators. The exhibition is part of a larger "Queer Arts Festival" co-organized by Works/San Jose and the Billy DeFrank Community Center, presented in conjunction with Gay Pride Month
