Hilary Chartrand's background in screen-printing informs the way she looks at everyday objects. She uses the registration and color codes on security envelopes and box tabs as a starting point for her paper abstractions. These collages and sculptures re-examine the printing codes in terms of color and shape, and may or may not resemble their office supply origins.

Karen Theisen became interested in office power dynamics through her position at a hi-tech company in Silicon Valley. Her ballpoint pen drawings, reminiscent of doodles obsessively scribbled at departmental meetings, convey her emotional landscape through the language of emoticons and stock imagery.

Trish Stone looks at the office environment from an outsider's perspective, photographing cubicle spaces through an office building's street-level windows. While documenting the minor changes which occur in an employee's cubicle from one day to the next, these pictures bring up questions about personal versus public space.

Sean Fletcher became a Life Insurance Salesman as a 6-year long performance piece. He then took the opportunity to turn his company's conference room into the Office/Gallery which he curated. His artwork blends wit with subversion, and adds a unique voice to this show.

As a group, their artwork takes the monotony of the office place and imbues it with both personal and critical attention to detail that starts in the workplace and continues after hours.
