Works presents two fantastic experimental Bay Area artists: Heike Liss and Isabelle Sjahsam. Heike uses her video camera to document ordinary, often mundane environments. As her meditative videos unfold, the subtle gestures within the frame capture our imaginations and even excite. Heike's work has been shown widely, both nationally and internationally. She is just back from an exhibition of her work at the Museum of Contermporary Art in Strassbourg, France.

Isabelle Sjahsam's moden dance pieces blur the line between ritualism, abstraction, and minimalism. Often incorporating the audience into her works, Isabelle is a consummate improviser and gifted performer. Her performance history includes the Bay Area dance and performance groups Triada, Bibliodance, SuperBigRockStar, Double Vision, and Dance Elixir, and she has danced in the works of Molissa Fenley, Mary Cochran and Lesley Braithwaite.
